Cozy family home in Los Angeles offering glamorous views from San Gabriel Mountains

Visualized by Hunter Kenihan from Indian Summer Investments LLC, this cozy family home placed in a peaceful hill in the northeast Los Angeles offers owners and visitors a great chance to enjoy clean, fresh air and glamorous views from the San Gabriel Mountains. Explaining the project, Hunter Kenihan said “I wanted to expand and modernize the home in the most natural way possible and ultimately this resulted in ripping off the entire roof and starting fresh while also reconfiguring the layout”. 

The house is originally composed of a classic outdated Los Angeles floor plan, two small bedrooms and a tiny bathroom between them.

However, by creatively redesigning the entire inside of the home and preserving the original white oak floors and much of the exterior siding, the designer successfully converted this 1920’s bungalow into a modern, welcoming and cozy living area.
